What is the best free rap beat software?
I need something like fruity loops but free. If anybody knows any free software that makes rap beats please let me know. Thank you.

You can try audacity http://audacity.sourceforge.net/, and possibly energy xt (which usually is on computer music magazine’s CD, I think. You may find it online on their site as well).

Is there a software that can detect what beat is playing in a song?
Not BPM, just the beat. For example, if the song has a 4/4 beat, the software will tell me that its a 4/4 beat of if the song has a shuffle beat, it tells me its a shuffle beat.

What’s the best beat making software that doesn’t take a genius to learn?
I want to get started make my own hip hop beats, but I know there is a lot of software out there for that and some of it is way out of my budget. Can anyone suggest a good beat maker?

For an absolute newbie, I recommend a lesser known beat maker by the name of DUBTurbo. FL Studio is pretty good, but it’s way more advanced and more expensive for sure. SonicPro probably has the lowest learning curve and best feature set for the money. I heard about it from a couple of user reviews I saw online.
