Laura asks…

Anyone know any good music remixing software for beginners?

I just started doing simple remixes a few weeks ago but it seems Audacity isn’t really working out for me, so I’m wondering if there’s any (preferably free) remixing software out there that anyone can recommend. (Not Audacity)

I’ve used Goldwave and it works well for my needs. Free download, too!

Paul asks…

How do you remix music on a computer? What software would I need?

I want to remix some songs to make one, so I’m wondering what software I’d need, and shit. So ye, how can I do this?

rel323 answers:

An audio editing program like Audacity is essential (for example to cut bits out of the songs – your samples): http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
Secondly, you’d need a sequencer program like Reaper (to splice all the bits together): http://www.reaper.fm/

Both these programs are free.
Hope this helps.
