Your Questions About Windows Music Maker 14

Jenny asks…
How do I remove imported files from Pinnacle Studio 14?
I’ve just started using Pinnacle Studio Ultimate Collection v. 14. The only other video editor I’ve used before is Windows Movie Maker, so I really have no idea what I’m doing.
What I want to know is, is there a way to remove video/music/picture files that I’ve imported after I’m done with them. I’ve made several videos already so there’s a bunch of files in the program that I’m not using any more. In MM, I was able to remove files after I finished using them, but in Pinnacle, there seems to be no way to do that. Am I missing something obvious or are the imported items there to stay?

fanmade music video!!!! 1 simple question, i need an answer?
ok right now im trying to create a fanmade music video, i follow these step:
1. Download TubeTilla. (Make sure you choose the FREE download!)
2. Set it up to where you see the main screen (you see a video URL bar)
3. Go to a YouTube video that would be good for the video you are making.
4. Copy the URL, then paste it in the Video URL bar.
5. Type a name for the video.
6. Click Get Video, then the WMV button.
7. Since you have the free version, you can have only one video uploading at a time. Once the progress bar says Converting, you can download another video.
8. Continue until you have the videos for the video you are making.
9. Open Windows Movie Maker.
10. Import all the videos and the song.
11. Put the song into the timeline, then one of the videos.
12. Mute the video audio. Do this for all the videos.
13. Shorten the video to the part you want on the video and repeat this for all videos.
14. Once done, look at the video to see if you like it. If not, start over.
15. If you like it, publish it to your computer.
16. Now you can upload the video for everyone to see!

It’s easiest to use a timeline when muting audio in a video clip. Where you’re setting up your movie there should be a button next to the “Play” button, make sure it says “Show Storyboard” which means that it is actually in timeline.
Next, look for a small + symbol next to “Video” in your timeline. Click the little + and a new bar should drop down revealing any audio in the video clip you are using. Right click on the audio bar and press “Mute” from the drop down menu. This will mute the entire clip for you.
Take care!!! I’d love to see your video when it’s finished!

Mary asks…
I can’t upload a video onto YouTube, what do I do*more info inside*?
All right, I made a music video with Windows Movie Maker.
The file size for the.avi file I made into is: 128kbps
The file size for the.wmv file I made into is: 585kbps
Everytime I go to upload the video into YouTube it stays at a certain percent. Like: 14%, 44%,30%, etc. How do I make it so it uploads all the way?

Thomas asks…
Can’t decide between some laptop specs? What specs are best for me?
I am looking for a new laptop PC and have a budget of around $750. They all have slightly different specifications and I cannot decide what specs are best for me.
I will be using my PC in the following way:
Heavy internet browsing, running up to 6 tabs at once, HD flash video, Netflix HD streaming, Pandora radio, flash gaming
Moderate office suite functionality, running word or powerpoint most of the time, an excel spreadsheet occasionally
Light image editing/organizing with GIMP and Windows Live Photo Gallery
Light movie making with Windows Live Movie Maker
Heavy music listening with iTunes
Video chatting with Skype
Will have Dropbox and Evernote running in the background at all times, will also Norton running in the background at all times
Typical multitasking needs: Running 3-4 tabs on the internet, having a powerpoint presentation open, and playing music all at the same time
Even though some of my tasks are light usage, I do not want any type of lag on my PC.
Based on my usage, which of the following computers is right for me? Thank you.

I would advise getting the first computer. But nothing your doing is really demanding on the processor, so any of those computer will do. Do not get norton, it really isn’t very good, you should look into other anti-virus software, or use malware-bytes to scan your computer occasionally, its free, and pretty good. I think any of those systems would work because they all have i5 processors, and for what your doing, you could run on an i3 with no problem.
